What I collect, and why.

This site is a portfolio with a booking system attached. It collects the least it can. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared for advertising.

Who is responsible

This site is run by David Mulholland, sole trader, based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Reach me through LinkedIn or by booking a call, both linked at the end of this page.

I handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles, whether or not the Privacy Act 1988 applies to a business of this size.

Reading these pages

Reading this site collects nothing about you. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no cookies set by this site.

The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs. Those logs include your IP address and are held for a short period for security and operations. I do not use them to build a profile of you.

Booking a call

When you book, you give me:

• Your name and email address, so I know who I am meeting and where to send the invitation.
• The time slot you chose, and the time zone your browser is set to.
• Anything you choose to write in the optional notes field.
• For paid sessions, confirmation from Stripe that payment succeeded. Your card details go to Stripe directly and never reach this site or me.

That becomes an event in my Google Calendar with you as an invited guest. Google sends the invitation and creates the meeting link. Google processes that data under its own terms.

I ask for nothing else. There is no phone number field, no job title, no company size, and no marketing questions.

The speaking enquiry form

The form on the speaking page asks for your name, email and what the talk is about. Everything else on it is optional. It goes straight to my inbox as an email. There is no database on this site and nothing is stored here.

The form includes a hidden field that real people never fill in. If it is filled in, the submission is treated as automated and discarded.

Who else sees it

Four services process data on my behalf, and nobody else:

• Google, for calendar availability, the booking event, and the invitation email.
• Stripe, for payment on paid sessions.
• Resend, for enquiry emails.
• Vercel, which hosts the site and keeps the server logs described above.

All four store and process data outside Australia, mainly in the United States and the European Union. Booking or sending an enquiry means accepting that your information is handled overseas by those providers.

I do not sell your data, disclose it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list. There is no mailing list.

How long it is kept

Booking events stay in my calendar as a record of work done. Enquiry emails stay in my inbox until I clear them. Stripe keeps payment records for as long as its own retention rules and Australian tax law require, which is generally five years.

Seeing it, changing it, deleting it

Ask me and I will tell you what I hold about you, correct anything wrong, and delete what I can. Calendar events and emails I can delete outright. Payment records I have to keep for tax purposes, and Stripe holds those regardless of what I do.

You can also decline or cancel any calendar invitation directly from your own calendar.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Payment happens on Stripe, not here, so no card data touches this site. Credentials for the calendar and payment services are held as encrypted environment variables and are never sent to your browser.

No system is perfect. If something goes wrong that puts your information at serious risk, I will tell you and notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where the law requires it.

Children

This site is for working professionals. It is not directed at children and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

If you are unhappy

Tell me first and I will try to fix it. If you are not satisfied with my answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it and the date above is updated.
